Well, we've had some not-so-great news on the adoption front. America World received more referrals this month while we were gone and they are currently running closer to 9 months from DTE (dossier to Ethiopia). Also, the wait time to travel after receiving a referral has increased from 6-8 weeks to 8-12 weeks. So, for us this means we're probably looking at next April or May before we travel to bring our daughter home.
Although news like this isn't surprising, it's always a blow to our morale. I have currently put all baby items we've collected/been given away, and we've decided to wait until after the first of the year to work more on her room. Please pray for us to continue to be patient and understanding, and that we wouldn't lose heart. It's easy to do...

Oh my, Taylors. I seriously don't know where you get your strength from, but wherever it is, you will have to let us all in on your secret. ;) You are keeping a great attitude about the whole thing, but it has to be hard knowing there is yet another set back. We will continue to pray for a quick homecoming for your little girl!
Oh my word, I can't imagine how hard it was to hear that! I will definitely keep you guys in prayer to lift your spirits.
I don't know what to say after reading your post except that you are both truly inspiring people to remain strong to your convictions despite challenge after challenge. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be to hear that news. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers for the strength to continue on your path for your daughter. If we can help, please let us know.

Did you get any photos with Gabby this weekend? If so, we expect to see at least one on this blog. ;-)
I love the new ticker! :)
